Mudslinger Ceramics

Is there anything more sensuous, cool and maleable to the touch than clay? As an art medium, clay allows a wonderful scope of experimentation in intricate surface quality, textures and design possiibilities. Whether in form, surface or variation of treatment the exploration of ideas and approaches can be continually re-examined without any loss of anticipation in each new piece. That same energy of excitement crosses boundaries into photography, jewellery, drawing, mixed media and object design where materials, techniques and processes fuse into works of eclectic arrangement and intrigue. Photography concentrates on the sublime of the natural environment while objects of creation mix paper, fibres, metal and wood with the relics of our man-made environment into jewellery, sculpture and mixed media pieces. In community-based arts the work of people, process and environment are co-ordinated into creative evolutionary entities where identity in community and in autonomy, is explored and fostered into growth. Each group of community individuals regenerates and propagates the excitement of creative energy further afield with every new project and every new teacher that instructs to those they share with. My excitement and appreciation of art mediums and the joy that creativity can manifest never wanes but grows consistently with every new idea.
